Foreign Papers Observe Demise Anniversary of Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers made special write-ups with portraits of smiling leader Kim Jong Il last year on the 4th anniversary of his demise. The Congolese newspaper Le Patriot on Dec. 14 dedicated a whole page to articles titled "Genius in ideology and theory", "Great independent statesman" and "HE Kim Jong Un, great successor to leader Kim Jong Il" under the headline "Leader Kim Jong Il will be alive in the hearts of world progressive people". It praised him as a symbol of the mighty DPRK and a hope of the Korean people. The Myanmar newspaper The New Age on Dec. 6 carried an article titled "Attraction" under the headline "Highest homage to HE Kim Jong Il, great leader of Korean people on 4th anniversary of his demise on Dec. 17, 2015" on its two pages. An Angolan newspaper on Dec. 11 in an article captioned "Devoted life" said he firmly defended the socialist system centered on the popular masses under the banner of Songun despite the intensive anti-socialist offensive by the imperialist allied forces and made distinguished contribution to the cause of human independence. The Ugandan newspaper Sun Rise a on the same day said on one whole page in a write-up titled "Great nationalist" that Kim Jong Il was the great nationalist as he protected the destiny of the country and nation and indicated a bright way for them. |
