Attending them were Ri Il Hwan, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, and others.

At the meeting of young vanguard a reporter and speakers said the New Year Address of Kim Jong Un serves as a militant banner powerfully encouraging all the people and youth across the country to the drive to glorify the 7th Congress of the WPK which will constitute a historic landmark in carrying out the cause of the Juche revolution as the congress of victors and glory.

They called upon all youth and students to become the first-line death-defying corps defending the leader, the corps remaining most intensely loyal to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un, and the best standard-bearers devotedly implementing to the end the orders and instructions of the party under any circumstances.

They also called upon all young people to adorn the 7th Congress of the WPK and the 70th anniversary of the formation of the youth league with unprecedented labor successes and fresh achievements in the youth work, full of honor and pride of being members of Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's dignified nation equipped with the most powerful nuclear deterrent and thus fully demonstrate once again the dignity and might of the youth power without parallel in the world.

At the meeting of workers and members of trade unions a reporter and speakers underscored the need for all the workers and trade union members to turn out as one in the general charge for final victory in hearty response to the militant slogan "Let us usher in a golden age in building a thriving nation in this year when the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held!"

They called upon the factories and enterprises across the country to kindle the flames for collective emulation to bring about a new turn in developing the economy of the country and improving the people's living standard.

Then an outline for socialist emulation was announced.
