Korean in China Vows to Contribute to Movement for Independent Reunification
Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China, in a statement on Jan. 4 vowed to make positive contributions to the movement for independent reunification in hearty response to the historic New Year Address of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

He said that Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address clarified in a scientific and lucid manner the most fundamental and principled issues arising in the improvement of north-south relations and the movement for national reunification at present and clearly indicated the slogan, tasks and ways of the movement.

The issues of inter-Korean relations and national reunification should be settled by the concerted efforts of the Koreans in the idea of By Our Nation Itself and in conformity with the independent will and wishes of the nation, he said, and went on:

The south Korean authorities must not seek pointless confrontation of systems, but show their will to respect and implement with sincerity the three principles for national reunification, June 15 Joint Declaration and October 4 Declaration, which crystallize the general will of the nation and whose validity has been proved in practice.

The General Association of Koreans in China and all Koreans in China will take the lead in the patriotic movement for reunification in hearty response to the tasks for national reunification set forth by Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address and make positive contributions to the movement of all Koreans for independent reunification this year.
