Overseas Koreans Call for Ushering in New Era of Independent Reunification
Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Minjok Sibo, an overseas Koreans' newspaper published in Japan, on Jan. 1 carried New Year articles contributed by officials of overseas Koreans' organizations.

Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, said he was firmly convinced that the three principles of national reunification, the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing it, are the programmes to be held fast to by all Koreans and they provide a guarantee for reunification.

Kwak Tong Ui, chairman of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, called for ushering in the second June 15 era of reunification in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself.

Rim Min Sik, chairman of the Overseas Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, said that the history of the people is sure to advance when Koreans are united through pan-national struggle, believes in justice and rely on the people's mindset,

Son Hyong Gun, chairman of the Federation of south Koreans in Japan for Democracy and Unification, underscored the need to wage a brisk movement for peace against the U.S. and war and for solidarity with the people.

Kim Sung Min, chairman of the south Korean Youth League in Japan, vowed to fight as the vanguard in the movement for independence, democracy and reunification in 2016, too.

Kim Ji Yong, chairperson of the south Korean Democratic Women's Society, and Kang Je Su, chairman of the south Korean Students Consultative Council in Japan, called for pooling efforts to make this year an epochal year for the movement for independence, democracy and reunification.
