Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, noted in a statement:

Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address said that socialist Korea demonstrated its dignity and might with meaningful events and eye-opening successes last year, and indicated tasks and ways to usher in a golden age in building a thriving nation this year when the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held.

We sincerely hope that the Korean people will settle the issue of national reunification as desired by all Koreans under the banner of By Our Nation Itself, sincerely implement the three principles of national reunification, June 15 joint declaration and October 4 declaration and thus frustrate the challenges by the anti-reunification forces within and without and usher in a new era of independent reunification.

Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said Kim Jong Un's New Year Address serves as a banner inspiring the Korean people in their struggle for building a thriving socialist nation and achieving national reunification and global independence.
