Japan's Hideous Unethical Crimes Were Not Committed against S. Korea Only: Minju Joson
Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- Late last year the Japanese reactionaries held negotiations with the south Korean authorities over the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and are now noisily advertising that the "issue of comfort women was finally and irreversibly settled" after giving a petty amount of money to them.

Commenting on this, Minju Joson Saturday says that the outcome of the recent negotiations held with the Japanese authorities was another insult to the Korean nation and victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army as "the deal was clinched" through the provision of a petty amount of money without getting any honest apology from them or leaving any proper written agreement.

The commentary goes on:

Japan did not commit war crimes and hideous inhuman crimes against south Korea only. The sexual slavery was perpetrated against the whole of Korea. Its victims are still alive in the DPRK and other Asian countries.

Therefore, it is the common sense that Japan should make a sincere apology and reparation for its crimes to all Koreans and the people of other Asian countries.

It is illogical and illegal for the Japanese authorities to claim that the issue of the sexual slavery was finally settled by paying a paltry amount of money to victims in south Korea only.

The Japanese authorities should drop their foolish calculation that they can evade their responsibility for redeeming the past crimes with such sleight of hand.

The DPRK will legitimately exercise its right as the victim till its damaged national dignity is recovered.
