The statement said:

We fully support and welcome the New Year Address of HE Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the DPRK.

The U.S. and the south Korean regime should stop their risky war drills and military provocations deteriorating the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. should admit that it is the top priority task for tackling the problems concerning peace and security on the peninsula to replace the armistice agreement with a peace pact. It should accept the peace proposal and halt anachronistic acts.

The south Korean regime should understand that the best way for reunifying the country is to reject outsiders' interference and settle the issue of reunification by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.
