Kumkop General Foodstuff Factory for Sportspersons
Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- The Kumkop General Foodstuff Factory for Sportspersons, located in Chongchun Street of Pyongyang, changed its appearance in a year.

Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the factory on January 17 last year and advanced a task to turn it into a model and standard for the country's foodstuff factories.

True to his instruction, the employees of the factory and builders renovated its interior and exterior in a matter of seven months, expanding its total floor space four times.

The factory renewed combined control room, production processes and facilities for ensuring the hygienic safety of foodstuff while arranging welfare facilities.

According to manager Jon Ok Sun, the production capacity of factory increased 1.4 times more than last year and it is now producing 100-odd more kinds of foodstuffs in nearly 20 items.

The production and quality of beverages helpful to sportspersons' recovery from fatigue are on daily increase.

The manager expressed the will to develop more foodstuffs and put the production processes of the factory on an automated, unmanned and germ-free and dust-free basis at a higher level.

The factory started its operation in October Juche 100 (2011).
