Swiss Organizations Urge U.S. to Conclude Peace Treaty with DPRK
Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on Jan. 15 denouncing the U.S. for sidestepping the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

The statement recalled that the Korean Jurists Committee issued a white paper accusing the U.S. of shunning the DPRK's proposal for concluding the peace treaty.

It went on:

The U.S. forces are still present in south Korea under the berets of the "UN Forces" though more than 60 years have passed since the Armistice Agreement was concluded.

The U.S. persistent military provocations and threats of aggression to the DPRK compelled it to have access to nuclear weapons in order to defend itself.

This stand of the U.S. goes to prove that it does not want peace but a war in the Korean Peninsula.

Durable peace is impossible in the peninsula unless the U.S. rolls back its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

Fully supporting the above-said white paper, the statement demanded the U.S. replace the AA with a peace treaty.
