Indian Ambassador to DPRK Gives Reception
Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Indian Ambassador to the DPRK Jasminder Kasturia gave a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Tuesday on the occasion of the Day of the Republic.

Present there on invitation were Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong, Ri Myong San, Kim Hyong Hun and other officials concerned, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations here.

Present there were members of the Indian embassy.

The Indian ambassador said in his speech that the Republic of India would value and boost the traditional friendly relations with the DPRK.

He expressed hope that the tension would be defused in Korea and its reunification be achieved peacefully through dialogue.

He said that Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, has paid deep attention to the development of the friendly relations between the two countries, expressing belief that the cause of building a thriving nation in the DPRK would be successfully accomplished under his wise leadership.

Ri Su Yong said in his speech that since the founding of the Republic, the Indian government and people have made big successes in the work for building a powerful state such as economic construction and sci-tech development, meeting all sorts of challenges of history.

He noted that he was pleased to see the bilateral exchange and cooperation become brisk between the DPRK and India.

He stressed that it is an unchangeable will to give importance to the friendly and cooperative relations with India and grow strong in all fields in conformity with the requirements of the developing era and the interests and desire of the peoples of the two countries.
