Minju Joson Slams Japanese Politicians' Outbursts about Victims of Sexual Slavery for Imperial Japanese Army

Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- Recently Yoshitaka Sakurada, dietman from the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan who was former vice-minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, at a joint meeting of his party on diplomatic relations insulted victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army by calling them "professional prostitutes" and claimed that "Japan is being seriously deceived by the propaganda for painting them as victims." Meanwhile, the present Japanese chief executive talked nonsense at the Diet that there is no evidence proving that the Imperial Japanese Army forced women into sexual slavery. Commenting on this, Minju Joson Wednesday says that such thoughtless remarks made by the Japanese politicians at a time when the issue of liquidating Japan's past crimes is being discussed as a crucial matter go to prove that Japan remains unchanged in its wrong way of thinking about its past crimes. The commentary goes on: The victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army are the miserable women who have lived in disgrace and pain as their chastity was violated by its beast-like service personnel, subject to all sorts of maltreatment and humiliation after being drafted by the Japanese imperialists. This being a hard fact, the Japanese politicians insulted them by calling them "prostitutes", far from uttering words of apology to them. They are not human beings. What they uttered is a criminal act of insulting once again the above-said victims. The recent reckless remarks made by the Japanese reactionaries are nothing but disgraceful behaviors of those worse than beasts and mentally deranged guys. The issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army is a crucial political task to be settled by the Japanese government in a responsible manner as it is a hideous crime committed against humanity in wanton breach of the women's dignity. |
