Present at the meeting were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), permanent members, members and alternate members of the C.C., the GFSTK, officials of associations and societies and officials of the general federation in the capital and local areas.

The meeting discussed the tasks of the committees of all levels, associations and societies to carry out without fail the tasks set forth by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address.

Vice-Chairman of the C.C., the general federation Kye Hui Nam made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers proposed the tasks and ways to bring about a fresh turn in developing the national economy and improving the people's standard of living by dint of science and technology true to the intention of Kim Jong Un.

They called for making signal achievements in the science and technology activities and researches this year and thus make positive contributions to glorifying the Seventh Congress of the WPK as the one of victors and honor.
