Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Benin

| Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- A Beninese national preparatory committee for celebrating the 74th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Cotonou on Jan. 21. Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" and chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. |
