No One Can Deny Agreements Common to Nation: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- The complicated history of the inter-Korean relations teaches a lesson that the north and the south can open the road to peace and reunification by their concerted efforts if they remain true to the three principles of the country's reunification and the north-south declarations but confrontation will escalate and a danger of war will increase if they violate and disobey them, says Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an article. The present catastrophic phase of the inter-Korean relations is an inevitable result of the south Korean authorities' desperate efforts for the escalated confrontation with the DPRK in collusion with outside forces in defiance of the agreements common to the nation such as the three principles of the country's reunification and the north-south declarations, the article notes, and goes on: Detente, peace and the improvement of the inter-Korean relations would be unthinkable without the three principles of the country's reunification, the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. No one should stand against the three principles of the country's reunification and the north-south declarations. Those who dare oppose them are traitors and enemies of the reunification. The three principles of the country's reunification and the north-south declarations should thoroughly be preserved and implemented until the day when the country is reunified. To value the agreements common to the nation and carry on the dynamic struggle to implement them is the only just way of improving the inter-Korean relations and achieving the independent reunification in the spirit of By Our Nation Itself. We should not pardon but resolutely punish the south Korean group of traitors who escalate the confrontation with compatriots and bring the disaster of a nuclear war against the north in collusion with outside forces, while going against the three principles of the country's reunification and the north-south declarations. |
