Day of Sun, Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Syria

| Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee of the Socialist Unionist Party of Syria for celebrating the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star (birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il) was formed on Jan. 21. Adnan Ismail, general secretary of the party, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary careers and feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and organize colorful political and cultural events on the above-said occasions. |
