Minju Joson Accuses U.S. of Turning S. Korea into Nuclear Arsenal
Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson on Friday carries a commentary on the lapse of 58 years since the U.S. officially announced that it introduced nuclear weapons into south Korea.

Recalling that after sustaining a heavy defeat in the past Korean War the U.S. introduced nuclear weapons into south Korea in a bid to recover from it in wanton breach of the Armistice Agreement, the commentary notes:

For several decades since then it has reduced south Korea to the biggest nuclear arsenal in the world and the most dangerous source of a nuclear war.

This is a product of its harsh hostile policy toward the DPRK and reckless moves for igniting a nuclear war, a proof that it is none other than the U.S. which spawned the nuclear issue in the Korean Peninsula.

The massive shipment of nuclear weapons and other nuclear means into south Korea after the war reduced it to an exhibition ground of nuclear weapons as all varieties and types of U.S.-made nuclear weapons are deployed there.

All these facts go to eloquently prove that the nuclear issue in the peninsula was spawned entirely due to the U.S. introduction of nuclear weapons into south Korea and the U.S. is the arch criminal bringing the dark clouds of a nuclear war to hang over the peninsula.

It is clear to everyone that the U.S. is obliged to pull its nuclear weapons out of south Korea and stop the nuclear war drills disturbing peace and stability in the peninsula.

This being a hard fact, the U.S. is ceaselessly introducing nuclear means into south Korea and its vicinity while driving the situation to the brink of a war. It is the height of shamelessness for the U.S. to shift the responsibility for the escalating tension onto the DPRK and raise a hue and cry over someone's "provocations."
