Dr. Ko Pyong Du of the Academy of Forest Science told KCNA that the agent was developed as part of the research into the scientific and technical problems arising in breeding tree and creating and protecting forest.

It plays a role of humidifying the earth around roots while ensuring the rate of rooting at 85-90 percent, irrespective of species of trees and topographical conditions, he said.

He added that the agent is also low in production cost.
