Day of Sun, Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Guinea

Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- A Guinean preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Conakry on Jan. 23.

Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the celebration period from Jan. 24 to April 20 and decided to hold a Kimilsungia exhibition, meeting, seminar, photo exhibition and other diverse political and cultural events.
