Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Russia

| Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Karelia of Russia on January 26. Viktor Yegorov, chairman of the Karelia-DPRK Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize a seminar, lecture and other colorful political and cultural events praising Kim Jong Il's revolutionary career and exploits between January 26 and February 19. |
