U.S. Story about Threat from North Termed Unreasonable by Canadian Body
Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- The Canadian Institute for World Studies posted on its website an article on Jan. 24 terming the U.S. story about "threat from the north's nuclear weapons" unreasonable.

The article said:

The DPRK has long made efforts to normalize the relations with the U.S.

However, the U.S. has not wanted to normalize relations with the DPRK but persistently sought the hostile ties with it.

There is enough reason for the DPRK to hate the U.S.

The DPRK is well aware of the fact that the U.S. has fought endless wars of aggression against many countries to plunder them.

In the past the DPRK was reduced to debris and millions of innocent people were killed due to the U.S. indiscriminate attacks.

The DPRK is making efforts to prevent the repetition of such disasters and defend itself.

It opted for having access to nuclear weapons as its strategic shield.

Its nuclear weapons are not for attack but for defence.
