Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S. of Increasing Danger of Nuclear War in Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- With no rhetoric can the U.S. cover up its despicable true colors as the most brutal and heinous nuclear criminal, Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in an article.

The article goes on:

The U.S. officially announced the introduction of nuclear weapons into south Korea on January 29, 1958 and has since turned it into the world's biggest nuclear arsenal and a source of a nuclear war against the DPRK.

The U.S. has systematically escalated the danger of a nuclear war in the Korean Peninsula, threatening the life and security of the Korean nation and persistently blocking the reunification of Korea. This is the thrice-cursed crime.

The nuclear issue in the Korean Peninsula was spawned by the hostile policy the U.S. pursued toward the DPRK, posing a nuclear threat to it.

The U.S. turned south Korea into the biggest nuclear arsenal in the Far East and it frantically escalated the moves to ignite a nuclear war against the DPRK together with south Korea while threatening its sovereignty and vital rights on the basis of the arsenal. This compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear deterrent in order to defend the supreme interests of the country, peace in the Korean Peninsula and security of the nation.

The U.S. and its followers have neither qualifications nor reason to take issue with the DPRK's self-defensive nuclear deterrent as they pushed it to access to nuclear weapons through reckless nuclear blackmail and moves to stifle the DPRK.

The U.S. is chiefly to blame for having escalated the danger of a nuclear war after spawning the nuclear issue in the peninsula while disturbing peace.
