The chairperson of the Dnepropetrovsk branch of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea said this at an inaugural ceremony of the preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il held in Ukraine on Jan. 25.

The chairperson said:

The idea and theory of Comrade Kim Jong Il serve as the guidelines of the Workers' Party of Korea.

He published the works such as "Socialism Is a Science" at a time when the imperialists vociferated about the "complete end of socialism" by taking advantage of the collapse of socialism in some countries and thus instilled the conviction and hope into the world progressives longing for socialism.

The U.S.-led imperialist reactionaries resorted to the base sanctions and military pressure on socialist Korea to stifle it but it overcame all difficulties and made a leaping forward in building a thriving socialist nation.

This is the precious fruition of the Songun politics.
