Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- The International Anti-Imperialism Coordinating Committee issued a statement on Jan. 10 supporting the stand of the DPRK government on its H-bomb test. The statement said: The DPRK's H-bomb test is an exercise of its independent right to defend itself from the aggression by outsiders. The U.S. forces with the capacity for nuclear attack have been deployed in the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity, increasing the danger of war in the region. The DPRK was compelled to strengthen its military muscle to cope with the threat of the enemy armed to the teeth. The DPRK has neither invaded nor threatened any country. It raised a proposal for settling the reunification of the country in a peaceful way and has made efforts to carry out it. It is none other than the U.S.-led imperialist forces and south Korean authorities which refused to accept the DPRK's proposal for peace and resorted to war threat, harsh economic blockade and moves for stifling the DPRK. We express solidarity with the independent right of the DPRK to defend the country and people from the attack of the imperialists. The committee denounces the hypocritical stand of the imperialist forces and supports the DPRK bolstering up the capability for self-defense including nuclear deterrent. It calls upon all the peace-loving people in the world to denounce the imperialist forces' moves against the DPRK and support it. |
