Japanese Authorities Slammed for Sidestepping State Legal Responsibility for Crimes Related to Sexual Slavery
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- Japanese Prime Minister Abe and other high-ranking government officials vied with each other in making unreasonable remarks that the past issue has been perfectly settled by law through the "agreement" between Japan and south Korea. They also touted that there are no data on forcible drafting by the army and authorities in the document which has been discovered by the government till now and the word sexual slavery is contrary to the fact and should not be used.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Sunday says one cannot but ask if the Japanese authorities have a reason and conscience.

It doesn't make sense that Japan said the issue of sexual slavery has been settled through the "agreement" with south Korea, the commentary says, and notes:

The victims of sexual slavery are not only in south Korea but in the DPRK and other Asian countries and Europe. In order to settle the issue properly, Japan should admit the state legal and moral responsibility for the crimes related to sexual slavery, make sincere apology and reparation, reinstate all the victims and take measures for preventing the recurrence of the crimes.

But the Japanese authorities are working hard to sidestep the state legal responsibility.

Japan is insisting that there is no evidence though a lot of data on the crimes related to sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army have been disclosed. This is an act of making brutes blush.

It should liquidate its past crimes without condition. This is its unavoidable legal and moral obligation. Japan should bear this in mind and honestly opt for redeeming the past crimes. It will be necessary for its own good.
