S. Korean Military Accused of Trying to Deploy THAAD

Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification in south Korea held a press conference outside the building of the Ministry of Defense in Seoul on Jan. 26 to denounce the military authorities for trying to deploy U.S. THAAD in south Korea.

Speakers recalled that the minister of Defense on Jan. 25 said it is necessary to examine the deployment of U.S. THAAD in the military viewpoint.

This is aimed to spark off a new Cold War in Northeast Asia and inveigle the missile defense system of south Korea into the U.S. MD, they charged.
