The general secretary of the Indian National Congress Party was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events at Indian political parties, organizations for friendship and solidarity with the DPRK and organizations for the study of the Juche idea to praise the revolutionary careers and undying feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star.
