Waterway Project in South Hwanghae Province Progresses Apace

| Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Builders of the waterway in South Hwanghae Province have stepped up the construction in an aim to round off the first-stage project before the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). They are paying primary attention to improving the quality of structure while pushing ahead with the construction as scheduled. A series of technical innovations has been applied to the project. One of them is a new additive for concrete mixture, developed in cooperation with experts of Pyongyang University of Architecture, which makes it possible to go on the construction even under freezing weather. Now, the pipe-burying project and construction of tunnels and structures have been accelerated at the final stage. |
