Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Traditional embroidery, moxibustion and the making of rice-cake soup were listed as national intangible heritages, while the recipe for Pyongyang Onban (cooked rice served in chicken soup) was listed as one of local intangible heritages in the DPRK. The Korean embroidery is well known at home and abroad for its long history and refinement. Moxibustion, one of the Koryo therapies, makes it possible to cure incurable diseases by applying moxa to affected parts of human body. Rice-cake soup is a special Korean dish for the Lunar New Year's Day. Pyongyang Onban is known as one of four famous cuisines of Pyongyang. |
