Present at the reception on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kang Ha Guk, minister of Public Health who doubles as chairman of the Central Committee of the Korea-China Friendship Society, and other officials concerned.

Staff members of the Chinese embassy were present there.

Li Jinjun said in his speech that last year the Korean people positively turned out in the struggle for developing economy and improving the people's living standards with joy of greeting the 70th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and thus registered successes in various fields.

Saying that the historic 7th Congress of the WPK is to be held this year, he sincerely hoped that the congress would be successfully held and the Korean people register fresher and bigger successes in their works for ushering in a golden age in building a thriving nation under the leadership of the WPK headed by its First Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Yang Hyong Sop referred to the fact that last year the Chinese people made successes in their works for realizing dream of China and splendidly greeted the 70th anniversaries of victory in their anti-Japanese war and the anti-fascist war of the world people.

He stressed that the Korean people are now making dynamic all-out onward campaign for ushering in a golden age in building a thriving nation this year when the 7th Congress of the WPK is to be held true to the militant tasks set forth by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his New Year address.
