Actions against Authorities' Humiliating Act Staged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- Actions of people of various circles are mounting in south Korea against the authorities' humiliating act of covering up the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo. A rally was held at Seoul Square on January 30 by the "national action for the nullification of the south Korea-Japan agreement on the comfort women for the Imperial Japanese Army and its just settlement." It is made up of at least 380 civic organizations including the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps. Another rally took place before the girl statue in front of the building of the Japanese embassy in Seoul under the sponsorship of the "Measure Committee of Students for Denouncing the south Korea-Japan Agreement." Speakers underscored the need to carry on the actions till the humiliating "agreement" is nullified. On the same day a demo was staged in Seoul to denounce the shameful humiliating act of the authorities and demand the proper solution of the issue of sexual slavery. |
