Sports Games to Mark Day of Shining Star

| Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- Colorful sports games will be held in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star (Feb. 16), the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. Among them are the 24th Paektusan Prize International Figure Skating Festival to be held at the Ice Rink and the synchronized swimming demonstration in the swimming pool of the Changgwang Health Complex from Feb. 15 to 17. Meanwhile, the Paektusan Prize Sports Contest, which began on Monday, is scheduled to go on till the end of this month. The contest includes a number of sports events like football, basketball and short-track speed skating. |
