The theme of the festival is "Kimjongilia in full bloom all over Songun Korea making a leap forward with youthful vigor".

The preparatory committee of the festival is pushing ahead with such works as making miniatures of the festival venue and its parts and creating posters.

Preparations for the festival are also gaining momentum at armed forces organs, commissions, ministries, national institutions and many other units.

Meanwhile, working people and youth and schoolchildren in Pyongyang are doing their best to bring up Kimjongilia with great care.

The same festivals will take place in every province of the country.

The 1st Kimjongilia Festival was held in Juche 86 (1997) to celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (February 16).
