The message expressed belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger in all fields and wished the prime minister and the government of Sri Lanka greater success in the work for the country's political stability, economic development and people's well-being.

Meanwhile, DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong sent a similar message to Mangala Samraweear, minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
