Displayed at the venue of the show were a commemorative stamp issued on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star and stamps showing photos dealing with the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

On display there were at least 320 kinds of stamps showing Songun Korea ushering in a golden age in building a thriving nation under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, time-honored history and bright culture of the Korean nation and the DPRK-China friendship.

Present at the opening ceremony were Chinese officials concerned and philatelists.

Li Xin, chairman of the Sino-DPRK Stamp Society, praised the exploits performed by Kim Jong Il for the development of the DPRK-China friendly relations and wished the Korean people greater successes in the drive for building a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
