Nullification of "Guidelines" for Retrogressive Revision of Labor Law Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Trade Unions on Tuesday jointly held a press conference in protest against the "guidelines" announced by the authorities for retrogressive revision of the labor law, according to the south Korean MBC. Speakers said the "guidelines" were null and void as they were illegally decided by the "government" by abusing executive right and judicial power. The human rights committee should thoroughly investigate this case, they stressed, presenting a written petition demanding the withdrawal of the "guidelines". They expressed the will to intensify the solidarity actions to check the retrogressive revision of the labor law by the authorities with the joint press conference as a momentum. |
