Displayed at the venue of the exhibition were photos dealing with the revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were their works and books on their greatness, books and photos introducing the DPRK and handicrafts associated with wisdom and talents of the Korean people.

Present at the opening ceremony were personages of various circles and other masses in Sakhalin Region.

The minister of Culture of the Sakhalin Regional Administration said in a speech that he was pleased to see the opening of the Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition, and the exhibition would greatly contribute to developing the cultural exchange between the two countries.

The curator of a fine art museum in the region said that he was struck with admiration at the speed of the DPRK in which modern structures are being built in a short span of time.
