Quality Control Intensified in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- A campaign for improving quality control is going on in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

According to Ko Nam Hyok, department director of the State Commission of Quality Management, steps have been taken to further improve the quality of goods this year when the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held.

Primary efforts were given to tightening quality control in the fields of power, coal, metallurgical and machine-building industries and rail transport.

The Commission strives to update the measuring instruments and analytical equipment and conduct the control and technical test in a scientific way and ensure the quality of raw materials necessary for production.

Also, a brisk work goes on in food and consumer goods industries and light industry to standardize the quality of goods and establish a scientific quality control system based on the standards of quality control and warranty set by the International Organization for Standardization.

The Commission strongly urges various economic units and sectors to lead all their production processes and management activities to the quality improvement.

Meanwhile, such diverse events have been held as workshop and experience-sharing session for quality controllers and show of test measures.
