Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- The Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps in south Korea waged an action for rejecting the humiliating "agreement" in which Japan's crimes related to the sexual slavery were concealed, according to Yonhap News of south Korea. The council clarified on Jan. 29 that it would direct all efforts to letting the international community know about the injustice of the recent "agreement" on the sexual slavery reached between Japan and the south Korean authorities. The organization submitted a written request to the UN in the joint name with women's organizations in Canada recently. The request revealed that Japan and the south Korean authorities in the "agreement" thoroughly excluded the victims who had been forced to provide sex to the Imperial Japanese Army. The council is sending letters disclosing the injustice of the "agreement" and calling for lending an ear to the voices of the victims to embassies of various countries in south Korea and missions of various countries in the UN. The organization clarified that it would send a written petition to the UN Headquarters in the joint name with women's and human rights organizations the world over and conduct protest actions in various regions of the U.S. together with victims of the sexual slavery. It also expressed its will to wrest Japan's apology and reparations for the hideous crimes against humanity on the occasion of the Asian solidarity meeting for the solution to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army. |
