Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committe and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, and headquarters chairwomen of the union across Japan.

Ho Jong Man said that Chongryon should bear in mind the deep trust and warm loving care shown by Marshal Kim Jong Un to ensure that it demonstrates its might before the world this year in which the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held and the women's union should successfully perform its mission and duty to push one of the two wheels of the patriotic movement of Chongryon.

Kang Chu Ryon made a report on the union's 2016 working plan.

She stressed the need to develop the women's union into a strong organization and dynamically conduct the work for preserving and developing the national education as required by the "year of directing great efforts to national education".

She called upon the headquarters chairwomen of the union to make a new history in the work of the women's union through a dynamic drive to carry out the five-point tasks set forth in the important letter sent by Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the formation of Chongryon.
