Leading the WPK for decades, Kim Jong Il developed it into steel-like vanguard ranks and a seasoned political organization guided by the Juche idea.

In the 1990s when the DPRK was in adversity, he further consolidated the WPK as the general staff of the revolution with his iron faith that the revolution and construction should be carried out in accordance with President Kim Il Sung's idea and intention.

He published "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" and other celebrated works, declaring that the WPK would unfailingly carry forward Kim Il Sung's idea and exploits.

He also formulated the Songun (military-first) politics as a basic political mode under socialism, in keeping with the changed grave situation and the requirement of the era of struggle for independence against imperialism, and guided the WPK to pave the way for the nation's prosperity with might of the Songun politics.

Under his leadership, the WPK could emerge the most prestigious and powerful party in the present times, enjoying absolute support and trust of the people, and its great history and rich experience as the party of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism became a model in building a revolutionary party.

The high prestige and invincible might of the WPK and the great feats made by it in carrying out the revolution and construction would have been unthinkable without his guidance.

The august names of the peerlessly great men will shine forever along with the history of the ever-victorious WPK guided by supreme leader Kim Jong Un.
