On display at its venue are a picture of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

On show at the venue of the festival are potted Kimjongilias cultivated by armed forces organs, ministries, national institutions and other units, people from all walks of life and youth and students

Also on display are the flowers presented by the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, overseas compatriots, missions of foreign diplomatic and international bodies here, foreign friendship and solidarity organizations and personages and Chinese residents here.

Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, officials of the festival organizing committee and the units which have flowers on display, members of the associations for disseminating and supporting the immortal flower, overseas compatriots and foreign guests.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, declared the festival open, expressing belief that the festival would encourage the service personnel and people of the DPRK in their struggle for ushering in a golden age of building a thriving nation this year.

At the end of the ceremony its participants looked round the venue.
