Officials of Chongryon and other Koreans in Japan, greeting the Day of the Shining Star, are missing Kim Jong Il very much with sincere gratitude to him, the letter said, adding:

The revolutionary career of the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il was the one of a peerless patriot and illustrious commander of Songun who dedicated himself to the road of high-intensity forced march for the prosperity of the country and happiness of its people, true to the noble intention of the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, and thus performed undying exploits to always go down in the history of the country and honorably defended the sovereignty of the country and the nation.

Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader and guardian of the destiny of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, who developed Chongryon into the leading patriotic organization, exemplary overseas Koreans organization of patriotism and loyalty, true to the noble intention of Kim Il Sung.

Now the patriotic movement of Chongryon has entered a high stage under the outstanding leadership and care of the Marshal who is making the lifetime desire of Kim Jong Il a reality.

All the officials of Chongryon and other Koreans in Japan will wage an all-out offensive for adding glory to the great leaders' Juche-based idea of overseas compatriots movement and leadership exploits and for thoroughly implementing the important tasks set forth by the Marshal in a historic letter and New Year greetings.
