The statement said that the DPRK's recent satellite launch was an exercise of the legitimate and independent right of a sovereign state and a reasonable and justifiable measure.

This being a hard reality, the Japanese government has unhesitatingly resorted to illegal political-motivated crackdown and inhumane actions of restricting the activities of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and encroaching upon the life and right of Koreans in Japan once again, finding fault with the above-said launch.

Whenever the Japanese government gets frantic with the moves against the DPRK and crackdown upon Chongryon, they always put Korean students in Japan to peril.

The statement urged the Japanese government to stop its unreasonable sanctions against the DPRK at once.
