He said that the earth observation satellite newly studied and developed by scientists and technicians of the National Aerospace Development Administration of the DPRK was successfully put into its orbit.

He went on:

The West which slandered the DPRK over its first H-bomb test in January is now terming its satellite launch a "missile launch."

This is part of the anti-DPRK campaign of the West conniving at the U.S. criminal act of extremely escalating the tension in the Korean Peninsula after putting south Korea under its military control long ago.

Does the UNSC have the right to find fault with the DPRK developing advanced technology to protect the country and its people from the U.S. imperialists' threat?

No sooner had the DPRK launched a satellite for peaceful purposes than the U.S., Japan and the south Korean authorities requested the UNSC to call an emergency meeting, terming it a "violation of the UN resolution".

All of them are, however, accomplices in wars and terrorism in various parts of the world.

Therefore, they are not qualified to take issue with the DPRK over its satellite launch.
