In the message the president said he was pleased to extend the warm congratulations to Kim Jong Un on behalf of the Nigerian government and people and on his own behalf on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star (Feb. 16, 2016), birth anniversary of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il.

He expressed satisfaction over the fact that the two countries are boosting cooperation with common views in the international arena while steadily developing the bilateral relations.

He expressed his firm belief that the reunification of the Korean Peninsula is sure to be achieved independently and peacefully by the concerted efforts of all the Korean people.
