On the occasion of February 16, the 74th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the WPK, the message extended the highest tribute to Kim Jong Il, on behalf of all the members of the WPM and on his own behalf.

It said that the immortal exploits he performed by frustrating all aggression and provocation moves of the imperialists to stifle socialist Korea and firmly defending the sovereignty of the country and dignity of the Korean nation with his Songun politics will always be remembered by the Korean people and the world progressives.

It expressed belief that the Korean people would win only victory in the drive to build a thriving socialist nation and protect peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the region under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un who is faithfully carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Juche and Songun started by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

It sincerely wished Kim Jong Un greater success in his noble work of leading the WPK and the Korean people to victory.
