The successful satellite launch on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star (the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il) is a gift of loyalty presented by the space scientists and technicians of the DPRK to the Workers' Party of Korea and the people in the motherland of Juche, the statement said.

Through the successful launch of Juche satellite the DPRK clearly showed the world that no one can encroach upon its independent right to use space for peaceful purposes, it noted.

The successful satellite launch this significant year when the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is to be held is giving conviction of victory and optimism not only to the people in the homeland but overseas Koreans, it said.
