The performance began with the national anthem and prelude "Ode to Comrade Kim Jong Il." The performers extended highest tribute and eternal glory to Kim Jong Il who made contributions to the times, revolution, country and its people.

Put on the stage were numbers reflecting the determination of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to hold in high esteem the sun of Songun and their revolutionary enthusiasm to bring earlier the rosy future of powerful Korea at the new speed of Chollima and Mallima under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The performance was acclaimed by the audience.

Among the audience were creators and artistes in the field of literature and arts, overseas Koreans and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.
