His wise guidance over the modeling of the whole party and society on the monolithic idea can find its manifestation in the fact that he clearly indicated the main duty and orientation of the party ideological work for firmly equipping party members and other working people with the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung.

The WPK is the party of the leader. The leader laid a historical foundation of the WPK and its guiding idea and founded the party and consolidated its organization and ideology. Therefore, the ideological work of the WPK should be oriented to modeling the whole society on the revolutionary idea of the leader from A to Z.

In the early days Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of the President as the integral system of ideology, theory and method of Juche through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities and steadily improved the ideological work of the WPK for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism. He authored many original and encyclopedic works to glorify forever the revolutionary idea of the President and make sure that the party ideological work is thoroughly conducted as required by Kimilsungism.

He developed in depth the President's idea on attaching importance to arms into the Songun revolutionary idea, Songun political theory. This is the distinguished feat he performed by further enriching the treasure house of Kimilsungism and exceptionally increasing its attraction and vitality.
