New Technical Innovations Made in Fish Farming of DPRK

Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- New technical innovations have been made in the field of fish farming of the DPRK to hasten the work for putting pisciculture on a scientific and intensive basis. The Unha Spawning Station manufactured equipment helping raise the capacity of producing bulking feed, which is very digestible, while Wonsan University of Fisheries made movable hatching equipment to increase the production of fry. The Pyongyang Catfish Farm developed a new kind of feed additive for fry with powder of Kumgang medical stone, which is effective in raising the weight of fry. The Microbiological Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences established a process for mass-producing from sea mud red yeast that contains various kinds of bio-active substances. |
